Richard Biggerstaff, MD

Dr. Richard Biggerstaff, a highly skilled surgeon, specializes in Facial Plastic, Head, and Neck surgery. A graduate of IU Medical School, he was elected into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha society. Following his training in General Surgery in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and an Otolaryngology Residency at Indiana University, he pursued further expertise through a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in New Orleans under Dr. Calvin Johnson.

Board-certified by both the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Biggerstaff embodies surgical excellence. With over 20 years of experience, he has performed thousands of complex cosmetic and reconstruction cases, including rhinoplasty, facelifts, and thyroid surgeries. Dr. Biggerstaff remains actively involved in teaching at the IU School of Medicine residency program.

Nicole Klein, MD

Dr. Klein, a partner at Otolaryngology & Associates and OA Facial Plastics, specializes in Otolaryngology, commonly known as "ENT" or Ear, Nose, Throat. With nearly 20 years of experience, she excels in restoring the youthful appearance of skin through her extensive knowledge of facial, head, and neck anatomy. Dr. Klein's passion for patient care extends beyond her career, reflected in her community involvement and family life.

A graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine, she pursued her love for surgery during her residency, where she discovered her innate ability to make a difference in patients' lives. Dr. Klein is dedicated to both her patients and her community, serving in leadership roles and supporting various organizations.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys outdoor activities and spending quality time with her family.

Ruchin Patel, MD

Dr. Patel, a native of Indiana, is a board-certified Head and Neck surgeon specializing in Facial Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery. After graduating from Indiana University School of Medicine, he completed his residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, followed by a prestigious fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where he refined his skills under leaders in Facial Plastic surgery.

Dr. Patel's clinical interests span functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty, facial rejuvenation, eyelid surgery, facial reconstruction, and treatment of various ENT disorders. Outside of medicine, he prioritizes family time with his wife, Alexandra, and their two children, enjoying travel, golf, and exploring Indianapolis' culinary and arts scene.

Melissa Smith, RN

Meet Melissa, our experienced Registered Nurse Injector and Aesthetic Manager. With over 20 years of nursing experience, Melissa began her career at Riley Hospital for Children before transitioning to pediatric Hematology/Oncology. In 2021, she followed her passion for aesthetics, training extensively in injection techniques alongside Facial Plastics physicians at OA Facial Plastics.

Melissa prioritizes patient empowerment, offering personalized consultations and emphasizing safety and natural enhancements. Committed to ongoing education, she stays updated on the latest advancements in aesthetics. Dedicated to patient-centered care, Melissa takes the time to understand her patients' concerns, fostering open communication.

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time with her three children, traveling, and mastering the game of golf.

Erin Bufton-Salazar, RN

Meet Erin, a Registered Nurse Injector with over a decade of experience in the medical field. With a focus on safety and natural-looking results, she combines her medical knowledge and a keen eye for detail to produce truly beautiful results! With an unyielding desire to help each of her patients look and feel their best, Erin stays up-to-date on the latest techniques and advancements in the medical aesthetics field to ensure she is providing the safest and most effective care possible. Erin has a warm and genuine demeanor that puts her patients at ease, cracking jokes and spreading smiles wherever she goes!

In her free time, Erin enjoys hiking/peak climbing with her husband, watching her children compete in wrestling and cheer, fishing with her dad, and of course… playing pickleball!

Kyle Preston, LE

KyleLynn Preston, one of Indiana's first Medical Aestheticians since 1995, transitioned from nursing to aesthetics during her time at Indiana University School of Nursing. With a wealth of experience, she joined OA Facial Plastics in 2020 after working with plastic surgeons and dermatologists in Indianapolis.

Highly skilled in peels, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, laser hair removal, micro-needling, lasers for skin-tightening, and pigment-reducing treatments. KyleLynn's expertise spans all skin types and conditions. She continuously enhances her skills through certifications and attending medical conferences across the country.

Combining medical training with Eastern Philosophies like Jin Shin Acupressure, KyleLynn offers personalized, calming, and effective treatments tailored to each patient's needs and lifestyle.

Ellie Huebener, LE

Ellie is a skilled and compassionate Licensed Medical Aesthetician of six years, with a background in Dermatology and treating survivors within a Burn Unit.

Ellie worked alongside Dermatologists, and through her experience has gained a thorough knowledge of the complexities of skin health. From providing post-surgical care to developing personalized skincare regimens, she is dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care to each unique patient.

Ellie has a passion for the artistry of lash and brow services and the process of enhancing the natural beauty in all patients. Ellie is also the recipient of the Energizing Award at the Aveda Fredric’s Institute for “Motivating, encouraging and inspiring others with a positive and energizing personality.” Her disarming demeanor allows patients to feel comfortable throughout the collaborative process of achieving their skincare goals.
