Where do I start with good skin care?

The best place to start is a consultation with our licensed medical Esthetician. She can help you navigate what to continue doing, what to eliminate and discover what’s missing from your routine and help you reach your skincare goals.

What are some of the options for more vibrant, refreshed looking skin?

The trifecta is an antioxidant serum, a retinol and SPF. Skincare is a crucial part of keeping skin looking and feeling the best it can be. Our Esthetician can get you started on the path to that vibrant skin you’re craving.

What can I expect from a facial at OA Facial Plastics?

You can expect to have glowing skin after a customized facial at OA Facial Plastics. Our Esthetician will analyze your skin and do a thorough cleansing, light exfoliation, extractions and a customized mask to treat your skin to the best
Our Esthetician customizes each facial based on what she sees and feels is best for your skin at the time of your facial treatment.

What line of products do you use?

We carry a curated array of products that are hand-picked by our Esthetician and Physicians. We’ve tried them all before giving them our OA Facial Plastics stamp of approval. We know it’s easy to get overwhelmed by what’s available and we pride ourselves on having tested them before offering them to our patients. Some of our current favorites are IS Clinical, Skinceuticals, Renova, Tretinoin, Elta MD, DefenAge and more. The technology is always changing and we like to stay current with our offerings. Call us to schedule a consultation and see what we are loving right now!

How often do I need to get a facial?

Our skin turns over about every 30 days, so a monthly facial is the best way to stay on top of your skin health.

What can I do about my wrinkles?

So many things! You can start with skincare products and go from there. Combination therapy gives the best results and some treatments we recommend monthly (like facials, peels and some laser treatments) and some things are done quarterly (like neurotoxin injectables) and annually or every few years (injectable fillers and ablative laser treatments). We can’t stop the aging process, but we can help slow it down quite a bit.

What is a chemical peel?

A chemical peel uses a varied strength of acid to chemically dissolve the stratum corneum and the “glue” that holds it together to reveal fresh, new skin. It increases cell turnover by this process and, in time, stimulates the collagen by plumping it up. They are wonderful to do at the end of each season and best done in a series if they are mild peels. Deeper peels can involve a little more “social” downtime, but yield amazing results in as little as 7 days.

What is a laser facial?

A laser facial uses our GentleMax Pro in the 1064nm setting to reduce pore appearance, improve texture, soften fine lines, reduce redness (Rosacea) and scarring and can help acne too. We recommend a series of 6 treatments done monthly for best results. Packages start at $1500.

Do you offer skincare products?

We offer some of the best medically available skincare. We pride ourselves on over 25 years experience in the skincare field by curating the best combination of products to offer our patients.
