Typically, scar revision is not covered by insurance. Sometimes if the scar is causing a functional problem, such as causing nasal obstruction, then scar revision may get covered by insurance.
How much does scar revision cost?

Can scar revision be performed in the office?
Scar revision can usually be performed under local anesthesia in the office. It is rare that sedation would be needed for scar revision; however, scar revision in anyone under 18 may require sedation or potentially general anesthesia.
